Well hello there, blog reader! It’s been awhile and that is solidly MY fault….
A few things have happened since my last blog post, and it’s time to catch up!
One of the first things you may have noticed in the title of this post is “MVP.” In September, I was honored with the title of Salesforce MVP and included in the Summer ’17 class along with 27 other really awesome members of the Ohana! I cannot even begin to describe the range of emotions I felt as I read the email from Holly Firestone….. but surely I have a GIF that can:
I honestly still can’t believe it. I am so honored to be included! I truly love this community and will continue to serve it and try to live up to this new title!
No sooner than the MVP announcement came out, I was on a plane headed to India Dreamin, India’s very FIRST “Dreamin” event! Not only was I speaking, I was a volunteer for the event, helping with the event’s social media.
The event was beyond amazing, and I will be writing a series of posts about the event, the people I met and my travels. In the meantime, please head over and read Akash Mishra’s posts, featuring Speaker recaps of the event.
Next up on my agenda is DREAMFORCE! This will be my third year attending, but first attending as an MVP, and as a SPEAKER! I will be in the Admin Theater, talking about Imposter Syndrome, a session that I have given over the past few years at various community events and user groups. I am very happy that I will get to reach the broader audience at Dreamforce, but will admit, I am a bit nervous speaking there for the first time!
In addition to that session, I am co-hosting Trailhead Lip Sync Battle for the second year in a row, a super fun time where contestants battle head to head, lip syncing their way to the top! There is still time to sign up and compete, or you can come by and watch the show. It’s really a win-win either way!
I am REALLY happy that I will get to see most of my #GifSquad next week in San Francisco. We will try not to cause too much of a ruckus; but, you just never know when we get together!
As with every Dreamforce I have attended before, I am looking forward to meeting YOU! If you want to get together and talk Salesforce Ohana, wish to partner on a project or marketing initiative, or simply debate the correct pronounciation of GIF, please set up a time with me here.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, Ohana!
